Title: Interstate Deposit Production Offices | |
Abstract: The OCC, as part of a joint agency rulemaking effort with the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the Office of Thrift Supervision, is promulgating a new regulation required by section 109 of the Reigle-Neal Interstate Banking and Branching Efficiency Act of 1994, Pub. L. 103-328, 108 Stat. 2338 (12 USC 1835a). The statute is intended to insure that out-of-State banks do not use their new interstate branching authority primarily for the purpose of deposit production. | |
