DOT/FAA RIN: 2120-AF90 Publication ID: Fall 1996
Title: Policy Regarding Airport Rates and Charges
Abstract: This statement of policy was required by Congress as part of the DOT authorization Act of 1994. The statement announces DOT and FAA policy on the fees charged by Federally-assisted airports to air carriers and other aeronautical users. This statement of policy incorporates a substantial modification in the approach of the policy statement issued in February 1995 to determining the reasonableness of fees for facilities other than the airfield and public use roadways. In other respects, the approaches of the two policies are similar. This policy statement is considered significant due to substantial industry interest.
