Title: ●Development of a North American Standard for Protection Against Shifting and Falling Cargo | |
Abstract: In this action, the FHWA announces its intent to participate in a drafting group to amend its regulations regarding cargo securement requirements for CMVs engaged in interstate commerce. The FHWA intends to consider adopting certain cargo securement guidelines that will be based upon the results of a multi-year comprehensive research program to evaluate current cargo securement regulations and industry practices. The FHWA has preliminarily determined that this action is significant under DOT regulatory policies and procedures due to substantial public and Congressional interest. | |
