Title: Miscellaneous Exemptions Under the Fair Labor Standards Act 
Abstract: Each of the following CFR parts issued under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) provides guidance to employers on the requirements for exemption from minimum wage or overtime based on particular statutory provisions: 551, local delivery drivers and helpers, wage payment plans; 783, Application of the FLSA to employees employed as seamen; 784, Provisions of the FLSA applicable to fishing and operations on aquatic products; 786, Miscellaneous exemptions; 788, Forestry or logging operations in which not more than eight employees are employed; 793, Exemption of certain radio and television station employees from overtime pay requirements under section 13(b)(9) of the FLSA; and, 794, Partial overtime exemption for employees of wholesale or bulk petroleum distributors under section 7(b)(3) of the FLSA. Employers meeting the specified criteria may be exempt from FLSA's minimum wage or overtime pay requirements. The guidance under this miscellany of exemptions will be consolidated and streamlined into a single regulation to eliminate separate CFR parts and unnecessary pages of CFR text.
