Title: Energy Efficiency Standards for Central Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps | |
Abstract: The Energy Policy and Conservation Act, as amended, establishes initial energy-efficiency standard levels for most types of major residential appliances and generally requires DOE to undergo two subsequent rulemakings, at specified times, to determine whether the extant standard for a covered product should be amended. ^PThis is the initial review of the statutory standards for central air conditioners and heat pumps. | |
