Abstract: The Energy Policy and Conservation Act, as amended, establishes energy efficiency standards for commercial and industrial electric motors, prescribes test procedures, and requires labeling for such equipment. The Department proposes to create a new part (10 CFR part 431) in the Code of Federal Regulations. This action will establish procedures for energy efficiency testing, labeling, and certification requirements for certain commercial and industrial electric motors. | |
