Title: ●RCRA Reporting and Recordkeeping Burden Reduction; ANPRM
Abstract: To comply with the requirements of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, EPA must reduce the information collection burden associated with the reporting and recordkeeping requirements imposed on the regulated community by the Agency's regulatory programs. ^PInformation Collection Requests (ICRs) approved by OMB provide a measure of the reporting and recordkeeping requirements associated with a particular regulation. The Office of Solid Waste (OSW) is conducting a comprehensive review of all RCRA ICRs and is developing options for reducing the regulatory burden associated with all ICRs. There are two broad categories of options: (1) recalculate the regulatory burden associated with a particular ICR to more accurately reflect the time necessary to comply with reporting and recordkeeping requirements, and (2) streamline or eliminate regulatory reporting and recordkeeping requirements. After considering public comment, the Agency will then proceed to a proposed and final rulemaking.
