Title: Comprehensive Amendment Addressing Essential Fish Habitat in Fishery Management Plans of the South Atlantic Region | |
Abstract: The comprehensive habitat amendment will identify essential fish habitat (EFH) for the shrimp, red drum, snapper-grouper, coastal migratory pelagics, coral, coral reefs, and live/hard bottom resources, spiny lobster, golden crab, sargassum, and calico scallop fisheries of the South Atlantic Region. EFH-habitat areas of particular concern will be identified and regulations designed to reduce or eliminate the impact of fisheries on EFH will be presented. | |
