Title: Payment by Credit Card and Debit Card | |
Abstract: The purpose of this regulation is to authorize the Secretary of the Treasury to accept payment of taxes by credit cards and debit cards pursuant to section 6311 of title 26, as amended by the Tax Relief Act of 1997. The current regulation only permits payments by check and money orders. The goal of this regulation is to authorize payments by credit cards and debit cards in addition to checks and money orders. | |
