Abstract: This rulemaking will review the hazardous materials incident reporting regulations in 49 CFR part 171 including the hazardous materials incident report (form 5800.1). The goal of this rulemaking is to simplify, update and review the requirements while enhancing the ability of the Research and Special Programs Administration and the DOT modal administrations to gather information vital to increase safety of transporting hazardous materials. | |
