Title: Utilities | |
Abstract: The FHWA issued a final rule amending its regulation prescribing policies, procedures and reimbursement provisions for the relocation and adjustment of existing utility facilities, and for the accommodation of new utility facilities and private lines on the right-of-way of Federal-aid and direct Federal highway projects. These amendments will bring the FHWA's utilities regulation into conformance with PL 105-178, the Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century (TEA-21) and will provide State transportation departments (STDs) clarification and more flexibility in implementing it. | |
