Title: Board of Veterans Appeals: Rules of Practice--Subpoenas | |
Abstract: VA has the authority to issue subpoenas to compel the attendance of witnesses and/or the production of evidence. This authority has been delegated to Members of the Board through Rule of Practice 711 (38 CFR 20.711), which also sets forth the relevant procedures and generally provides that subpoenas will be issued pursuant to a motion filed with the Board, which is in turn decided by a Board Member or panel of Members. | |
