Abstract: This NPRM proposes to require currency exchangers to report suspicious transactions to the Department of the Treasury. The amendments constitute a further step in the creation of a comprehensive systems (to which other money services businesses are already subject) for the reporting of suspicious transactions by financial institutions. Such a system is a core component of the counter-money laundering strategy of the Department of the Treasury. | |
