Abstract: OCC, along with the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Office of Thrift Supervision (the Federal Banking Agencies), the National Credit Union Administration, and the Federal Trade Commission, is considering issues under section 312 of the FACT Act relating to the accuracy and integrity of the information furnished to a consumer reporting agency and the ability of consumers to dispute information directly with persons that furnish information to a consumer reporting agency.
