Abstract: The Department is committed to becoming current on all energy standards rulemakings, including the current standards for residential electric and gas ranges and ovens, microwave ovens, dishwashers, dehumidifiers, and commercial clothes washers. The Energy Policy Act of 2005 amendments to the Energy Policy and Conservation Act (EPCA), established initial energy efficiency standards for commercial clothes washers.
