Abstract: OSHA proposes to revise its regulations for the federally funded On-site Consultation Program to: a) Provide a 1-year deletion from OSHAs programmed inspection schedule for those employers who request and receive a full service safety and health, consultation visit; agree to correct identified hazards within established time frames; post notice of identified hazard(s) and begin to implement procedures for regularly identifying and preventing hazards; b) provide a deferral from OSHAs programmed inspection schedule for up to 18 months for those employers working toward achieving recognition and exemption status; and c) extend the deletion period from OSHAs programmed inspection schedule for a period of up to 2 years for those employers participating in OSHAs recognition and exemption program. | |
