Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Listing Determinations for Five Southeast Fish (Rush Darter, Chucky Madtom, Cumberland Darter, Laurel Dace, and Yellowcheek Darter)
Abstract: We will list five southeastern fish as endangered under the Endangered Species Act. The rush darter (Etheostoma phytophilum) is found in Alabama, the chucky madtom (Noturus crypticus) and laurel dace (Phoxinus saylori) in a few streams in Tennessee, the Cumberland darter (Etheostoma susanae) in Kentucky and Tennessee, and yellowcheek darter (Etheostoma moorei) in Arkansas. We will determine if these species warrant listing throughout their entire range and if critical habitat for these species is prudent and will be designated.
