Title: ●Energy Efficiency Standards Determination for Distribution Transformers
Abstract: The current transformer efficiency standards will be applicable starting January 1, 2010. As a result of a settlement agreement, DOE has agreed to conduct a review of the standards for liquid-immersed and medium-voltage dry-type distribution transformers and publish in the Federal Register, no later than October 1, 2011, either a determination pursuant to EPCA that standards for these products do not need to be amended or a notice of proposed rulemaking including any new proposed standards for these products. DOE agrees that if a positive determination is made, DOE shall publish in the Federal Register, no later than October 1, 2012, a final rule including any amendments to the standards for liquid-immersed and medium-voltage dry-type distribution transformers.
