Title: Accuracy of Advertising and Notice of Insured Status; Share Insurance
Abstract: An interim final rule issued in October 2008 updated NCUA's share insurance coverage to reflect the temporary increase in the standard maximum share insurance amount established by the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 until December 31, 2009, improves coverage for mortgage servicing accounts, and provides credit unions with flexibility in displaying the official sign. This subsequent interim final rule extends the temporary increase in the standard maximum share insurance amount until December 31, 2013.
