Abstract: This proposed rule establishes the methodology for assessing the total performance of each provider of services and renal dialysis facility based on performance standards for the measures called for under the Act. The proposed rule would establish performance standards, performance periods, and a methodology for assessing the total performance of each provider/facility. If a provider/facility fails to meet or exceed the total performance score with respect to the performance standards established for the selected measures, payments to the provider/facility will be reduced by up to two percent as determined appropriate by the Secretary. | |
