Abstract: Section 104(b)(1)(A) requires the Commission to consult with representatives of consumer groups, juvenile product manufacturers, and independent child product engineers and experts to examine and assess the effectiveness of any voluntary consumer product safety standard for full size and non-full size cribs. An Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (ANPRM) that would start the process was published in the Federal Register on November 25, 2008.
