Title: Government Property (DFARS Case 2009-D008)
Abstract: This rule proposes to amend the Defense Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to update policy on the reporting, redistribution, and disposal of Government property in the possession of contractors. The rule proposes to revise DFARS part 225 for consistency with recent revisions to FAR part 45, government Property, published at 72 FR 27364 on May 15, 2007, that addresses management of Government property in the possession of contractors. The rule also adds a new property disposal clause entitled Reporting, Reutilization, and Disposal. The rule imposes no new requirements on small businesses. It makes no significant change to DoD policy regarding the management of Government property in the possession of contractors. Any economic impact is expected to be minimal.
