Title: ●Hospital and Critical Access Hospital Conditions of Participation and Patient Safety Requirements (CMS-3244-P) 
Abstract: This rule revises the Conditions of Participation (CoPs) for both hospitals and critical access hospitals (CAHs). The revisions focus on improving patient safety in hospitals by reducing hospital-acquired conditions including health care-associated infections, reducing hospital and critical access hospitals(CAHs) readmissions, the use of surgical and medical checklists, the use of rapid response teams, the roles of advanced practice registered nurses( APRNs) and physicians assistants(PAs)in patient care, and expanding the responsibility for organization and conduct of medical staff
