Title: ●Substantially Underserved Trust Areas
Abstract: The Rural Utilities Service proposes to implement section 6105 of the Food, Conservation, and Energy Act of 2008 (2008 Farm Bill), which added section 306F-- Substantially Underserved Trust Areas (SUTA) to the Rural Electrification Act of 1936. The rulemaking is necessary to improve the availability of eligible programs in substantially underserved trust areas. The rulemaking will provide the process by which applicants eligible under the SUTA provision may apply for funding from the agency.
