Title: ●Endangered and Threatened Species: Designation of a Nonessential Experimental Population for Middle Columbia River Steelhead Above the Pelton Round Butte Hydroelectric Project in the Deschutes River 
Abstract: We, the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), propose to designate Middle Columbia River steelhead reintroduced into the upper Deschutes River basin in central Oregon, as a Nonessential Experimental Population (NEP) under section 10(j) of the Endangered Species Act (ESA). This NEP designation would expire 12 years after returning steelhead adults are placed into the Upper Deschutes.
