Title: Test Procedures for Residential Clothes Washers, Active, Standby, and Off Mode | |
Abstract: Section 302 of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 (EISA) amends the Energy Policy and Conservation Act to require that test procedures for all covered products (including residential clothes washers) be reviewed at least once every 7 years. EISA requires that DOE publish a final rule by June 30, 2009, amending the test procedures for residential clothes washers to include test procedures for measuring energy use in the standby mode and off mode. | |
