Title: Simplified Cost Accounting and Other Actions To Reduce Paperwork in the Summer Food Service Program 
Abstract: Section 738 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2008, (Pub. L. 110-161), extends simplified cost accounting procedures to Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) sponsors in all States. Beginning on January 1, 2008, sponsors receive the maximum rates of reimbursement for the eligible meals they serve. The Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) proposes to amend 7 CFR part 225 to eliminate the program assistance requirements that no longer apply and to implement a number of other actions that would further streamline SFSP administration.
