Abstract: Staff is considering recommending to the Commission proposed rules to implement section 165(i) of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act which requires certain financial companies to conduct annual stress tests pursuant to regulations prescribed by their respective primary financial regulatory agencies. Specifically, the recommendation would require registrants and registered entities supervised by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission with total consolidated assets of more than $10 billion to conduct an annual stress test as prescribed by this proposed rule.
