Title: ●Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Critical Habitat Designation for the Bi-State Distinct Population Segment of the Greater Sage Grouse
Abstract: Pursuant to the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended, we are required to designate critical habitat, to the maximum extent prudent and determinable, concurrent with a listing determination for the species. We are developing a listing determination for the Bi-State Distinct Population (DPS) of the greater sage grouse, currently a candidate species, as a separate rulemaking action (see RIN 1018-AY10). We will make determinations regarding critical habitat for the Bi-State DPS of the greater sage grouse, pursuant to the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended. This DPS occurs in California and Nevada.
