Title: Direct Grant Programs and Definitions That Apply to Department Regulations
Abstract: The Secretary proposes to amend the Education Department General Administrative Regulations (EDGAR), 34 CFR parts 74 through 99, regarding the award and administration of grants and cooperative agreements under the Department's discretionary grant programs. These proposed amendments would strengthen selection criteria by including evidence standards and other provisions that will improve the likelihood of collecting credible information on grantee performance.
