Title: Inadmissibility of Consumer Products and Industrial Equipment Noncompliant With Applicable Energy Conservation or Labeling Standards  
Abstract: Amendments to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations to provide that CBP will refuse admission into the customs territory of the United States to consumer products classified by the Department of Energy (DOE) as covered by the energy conservation standards of the Energy Policy and Conservation Act of 1975, as amended, if DOE notifies CBP that the products do not conform to applicable energy conservation standards. This amendment to the regulations will implement the mandate of the Energy Policy and Conservation Act of 1975 to not admit into the United States consumer products that do not meet energy conservation requirements.
