HUD/OH RIN: 2502-AI67 Publication ID: Fall 2013
Title: Supportive Housing for the Elderly and Persons With Disabilities (FR-5167)
Abstract: This final rule amends HUD's regulations governing capital advances for the following two programs: Section 202 Supportive Housing for the Elderly and section 811 Supportive Housing for People with Disabilities. This final rule provides the mixed finance regulations with more flexibility in order to attract private capital and expertise to the construction of supportive housing for the elderly and disabled. These regulatory changes streamline the use of low income tax credits as well as funding from other sources and permit the mixed finance program to expedite the development of needed affordable housing projects.
