Title: Acceptable Medical Sources and Opinion Evidence (3787P) 
Abstract: We proposed to revise our policies related to "acceptable" and "other" medical sources; redefine several key terms related to evidence, explain what is and is not evidence; revise how we weigh medical opinions; reorganize our evidence regulations; and clarify other related policies. These revisions would reflect changes in the national healthcare workforce and in the manner that individuals receive primary medical care, simplify and reorganize our rules to make them easier to understand and apply, and emphasize the need for objective medical evidence in disability and blindness claims under titles II and XVI of the Social Security Act.
