Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Removing the Modoc Sucker From the List of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife
Abstract: We propose to remove the Modoc sucker (Catostomus microps) from the Federal List of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife. This determination is based on a review of the best available scientific and commercial information, which indicates that the threats to this species have been eliminated or reduced to the point that the species no longer meets the definition of an endangered species or a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended. If finalized, the effects of this rule would be to remove the Modoc sucker from the List and also to remove the currently designated critical habitat for the species throughout its range.
