Title: Violence Against Women Act
Abstract: We propose regulating to address the changes to the campus safety and security reporting requirements in the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), made by the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013 (VAWA). With regard to VAWA, the Department is conducting negotiated rulemaking (January, February, and March 2014). The negotiating committee includes representatives of groups with interests that are significantly affected by the subject matter of the proposed regulations.
