Title: ●Energy Conservation Standards for Residential Non-weatherized Gas Furnaces
Abstract: The Energy Policy and Conservation Act of 1975 (EPCA), as amended, prescribes energy conservation standards for various consumer products and certain commercial and industrial equipment, including residential furnaces and residential central air conditioners and heat pumps. EPCA also requires DOE to determine whether more-stringent, amended standards for these products would be technologically feasible and economically justified, and would save a significant amount of energy. In this rule, DOE is proposing revised standards for non-residential non-weatherized gas furnaces.
