Title: Revisions to the Export Requirements of the Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) Rule | |
Abstract:
The Agency revised the cathode ray tube (CRT) final rule published on July 28, 2006 (71 FR 42927), to address certain implementation concerns. We added a definition of "exporter," which clarified the liabilities of intermediaries, such as brokers, in fulfilling the export-related requirements of the rule. We also included additional items to the notification required for CRTs exported for reuse. These requirements make it easier to implement the export requirements of the rule and enable the Agency to obtain additional information on the export of this class of used electronics. |
