Title: ●Emergency Action to Implement Commercial and Recreational Possession Limits for Blueline Tilefish
Abstract: This temporary rule responds to a request for emergency action from the Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council. The rule implements commercial and recreational possession limits for blueline tilefish in the US Atlantic EEZ north of the jurisdiction of the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council (Virginia/North Carolina border) where the species is currently unregulated. The temporary measures are being put in place to constrain harvest rates while the Councils develop a long-term solution for the management of this stock. The action would affect vessels active in the recreational and commercial tilefish fisheries.
