Title: Encryption Export Controls
Abstract: On June 25, 2010, the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) published an interim final encryption rule in the Federal Register that requested comments from the public (75 FR 36482). This rule incorporates many of the recommendations received from the public, as well as corrections to errors that BIS found. Many of the comments were recommendations for future changes to the encryption controls or to License Exception ENC. These recommendations will be addressed in a future rule.
