Title: Implementation of the Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC) Provisions of the Trafficking Victims Reauthorization Act of 2008  
Abstract:

The William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008, Public Law 110-457, made significant changes concerning the care and placement of unaccompanied alien children who are under the care of the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR). This rule would implement changes under section 235 of the Act affecting age determinations, placement determinations, suitability assessments, and home studies. This rule also would codify provisions of the Flores v. Reno settlement agreement that were not addressed in Public Law 110-457.
