Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Section 4(d) and Listing Determination for the Northern Long-Eared Bat | |
Abstract:
FWS will publish a final rule to list the northern long-eared bat as threatened under the ESA, and an interim final rule under section 4(d) of the ESA. Issues have been raised by multiple industries including timber, forestry, agriculture, wind energy, oil and gas production, and others. The northern long-eared bat is found in much of the eastern and central United States, and small portions of the western United States (38 States). Critical habitat is addressed as a separate rulemaking action, under RIN 1018-AZ62.
