Abstract:
The Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection is re-issuing this interpretive rule to provide instructions for complying with procedural and eligibility requirements under the High-Cost Mortgage and Homeownership Counseling Amendments to the Truth in Lending Act (Regulation Z) and to provide additional instructions for complying with list generation requirements under the Homeownership Counseling Amendments to the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA Homeownership Counseling Amendments) Final Rule. The interpretive rule will also provide guidance on the qualifications for providing high-cost mortgage counseling and on lender participation in such counseling. |
