Title: Data Requirements Rule for the 1-Hour Sulfur Dioxide Primary National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) | |
Abstract:
This rule described procedures for air agencies to characterize sulfur dioxide concentrations through ambient monitoring or air quality modeling techniques in targeted areas around the country in which the largest sources of emissions are located. The air quality information collected by the air agencies will then be used by the EPA to inform future determinations regarding sulfur dioxide national ambient air quality standard attainment status under the Clean Air Act. The rule references appropriate recommended guidance on monitoring and modeling techniques, and it includes timelines for air agencies to conduct the recommended analyses and provide the data to the EPA. |
