Title: ●Freedom of Information Act Policies and Procedures
Abstract:

As part of a comprehensive review of agency practices related to the disclosure of records and information, the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) is updating its implementing rule under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). The proposed rule, which is modeled after a template provided by the U.S. Department of Justice, describes how to make a FOIA request to USTR and how the FOIA Office, which includes the USTR officials who are authorized to work on FOIA requests, processes requests for records. We are renaming and reorganizing part 2004 to include all of the rules governing disclosure of USTR records and information and are moving the FOIA rule into a new subpart B to part 2004.
