Title: ●Department of Defense Definition of "Information Technology" (DFARS Case 2016-D029)
Abstract:

DoD is proposing to amend the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to create a DoD-specific definition of "information technology." This rule is in response to concerns raised regarding the modification to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) definition proposed under FAR Case 2015-037 that removes the exception for "imbedded information technology" from the definition. DoD does not expect this rule to have a significant economic impact on a substantial number of small entities.
