Title: ●Liability Protections When Reporting Cyber Incidents (DFARS Case 2016-D025) | |
Abstract:
DoD is proposing to amend the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to implement section 1641 of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2016 (Pub. L. 114-92). Section 1641 amends section 941 of the NDAA for FY 2013 (Pub. L. 112-239) to specify liability protections for cleared defense contractors and operationally critical contractors when reporting cyber incidents and network penetrations. DoD does not expect this rule to have a significant economic impact on a substantial number of small entities. |
