Title: Direct Food Substances Affirmed as Generally Recognized as Safe; Partially Hydrogenated Menhaden Oil and Rapeseed Oil
Abstract: The proposed rule would amend two existing regulations that affirm "generally recognized as safe” (GRAS) status by removing partially hydrogenated menhaden oil and partially hydrogenated rapeseed oil. We are taking this action in light of our recent determination that partially hydrogenated oils are no longer considered to be GRAS.
