Title: Authorize Use of Video Teleconferencing or Other Appropriate Digital Media To Conduct Face-to-Face Evidentiary Hearings
Abstract:

We propose to revise our rules to provide the agency the authority to conduct evidentiary disability hearings via video teleconferencing (VTC) or other appropriate digital media. Advances in technology have resulted in improved quality and easy placement and decreased cost of VTC equipment. We expect that this proposed rule will have a minimal impact on the public, help ensure the integrity of our programs, and allow us to administer our program more efficiently.
