DHS/USCG RIN: 1625-AA77 Publication ID: Fall 2016
Title: Commercial Fishing Industry Vessels
Abstract:

This proposed rule would have amended commercial fishing industry vessel requirements to enhance maritime safety. The Coast Guard has withdrawn this rulemaking, in light of the adoption by Congress of legislation in 2010, 2012, and 2015 that provides the Coast Guard with important new regulatory authority over commercial fishing safety. Withdrawal of this project will help the Coast Guard focus on regulatory implementation of its statutory authority in this area, which will be done under a separate RIN (1625-AB85).
