Title: ●Clarifications to Tarmac Delay Regulations | |
Abstract:
This rulemaking would revise the existing tarmac delay rule (14 CFR 259.4) to clarify that covered carries, when calculating the length of tarmac delays for reporting purposes, include the time when an aircraft is at the gate with passengers on board and the crew has not made an announcement to deplane if an opportunity to deplane exists. This rulemaking would also propose to revise the tarmac delay rule to clarify that covered carriers must provide adequate food and water to passengers within two hours after passengers no longer have the opportunity to deplane. |
